Great improvements to our bike service: more tours, more adventures, more bikes.
From the next 2009 season, the new management of our bike service, PuntAla Cycle Tours, will offer original itineraries, brand-new mountain bikes (Merida) and all the services of a professional bike center.
Blaze the trails with our experienced guides and explore the nearby nature reserve, called Bandite di Scarlino. Stop to enjoy the views, taste the wines, visit the historical sites. Mountain biking is the best way to experience the countless trails, hills, beaches and forests.
At PuntAla Cycle Tours you will also find, as in the best bike centers, a professional mechanic, spare parts, accessories and a bike deposit.
Mario Grossniklaus and Stephanie Daddi, our new bike managers, are both passionate bikers. Their objective is to develop the potential for biking in Maremma and launch the PuntAla Camping Resort as an international mountain bike destination at all levels, from the first change of gears to the fast technical downhills.
In their own words:
Mario Grossniklaus: “from my home, Interlaken, Switzerland, I bring a deep passion for mountain biking and 10 years of experience in bike mechanics. In Tuscany since 2005, I’ve explored all the trails in the area and have shared my discoveries with other bikers. In addition to my mother tongue “Schwitzer Dütsch”, I speak German and English. My Italian is getting better by the day. Come and visit me at PuntAla Cycle Tours. I promise technical assistance, professional tips, good fun and a few jokes to make any uphill a little bit easier.”
Stephanie Daddi: “maybe you already know me from my previous work at the PuntAla Camping Resort. As of this year, all my efforts are geared towards developing cycle tourism in the area. It will be a true pleasure to continue assisting you even in this new position. As always, I welcome any question or suggestion.”
